Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking

When it comes in choosing the classy, sweet and short trek the best option is Ghorepani and Poonhill trek. There you can grab the golden opportunity to explore the real typical village with its traditional life style and breathtaking views of Central Nepal Himalayan panorama as Ghorepani is located just below the famed vantage point of Poonhill.

Poonhill is also a great trek point for traveler from where you can view the wonderful panaromic sights of the valley of deepest gorge and some of the highest mountain range of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasalu with holy Mt.Macchapuchchhre to the northern part. This part your experience also includes the sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara Valley.

Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu where you will be picked up by our van in Tribhuvan International Airport ,Kathmandu and transferred to 4 star standard hotel where you can have the facilities including internet and foods.

Day 2: Kathmandu
After having rest, your journey starts with the sightseeing of Kathmandu valley ,the capital city of Nepal including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Here you will visit different palaces, (also known as Durbar in Nepal), the ascent of ancient kings and great conquerors of past and the city life style and culture of Nepal and also temples, stupas and many other sightseeing places.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Birethanti via Pokhara
It will be a 6 hours trip form Kathmandu to Pokhara and 1 hour trip to nayapool depending upon traffic. As we reach Pokhara/Nayapool we have to trek around 30 minutes to Birethanti, the check point for trekkers Annapurna conservation area, where you will be staying at the local lodge for the day.

Day4: Birethanti – Ulleri
Another early morning trek takes you to the Ulleri which is 2080m from the hotel of Birethanti where you stayed the previous night. It is about 4 to 5 hours trek. You will be passing through Burundi Khola residing at Tikhedhunga for a lunch. After lunch your trek resumes towards Ulleri which will take you about 2 hours watching the views of rock hills and splendid rivers. That day you will be staying at the local lodge.

Day 5: Ulleri – Ghorepani
Another great adventurous day starts as you will be ascending to Ghorepani which is 2885m and takes about 3 to 4 hours trek. You will view the glamorous Rhododendron forest on your way which is also the national flower of Nepal. The entire hills will be covered by these flowers and magnificent oak, a mesmerizing scene of beauty. You will see a different experience of transportation system beyond your imagination by mule carrying loads to the destination. You will reside at the lodge after reaching Gorepani.

Day6: Ghorepani, Poonhill – Tadapani
After an early start, the trek continues up hill for an hour to Poon Hill (3210m) and can be your important morning of the trek where you will be amazed with the amazing view of rising sun. you will have magnificent views of mountains. Then satisfying the view and making your morning glamorous, the trek continues to Tadapani. You will see the beautiful view of highest mountain and panoramic views of valley crossing through wooden local with the view of pine and rhododendron forests on the trek down then head down to the Small River and climb up the trail heading to Tadapani where you will spend the night.

Day7: Tadapani – Ghandruk
You will be taken to Ghandruk which is also considered as a modern village and carries its own culture, lifestyle of Gurung community and panoramic scenery of Himalayas. It is also renowned as the best spot for trekkers as you will be treated with the stunning views of Annapurna South and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project before spending the night at Ghandruk.

Day8: Ghandruk – Pokhara
After staying overnight in Ghandruk village you will be hiking back to NayaPool/Pokhara.

Day9: Pokhara Sightseeing
As Pokhara is considered as the best touristic place of Nepal. On day 9th you will be sightseeing the outstanding Pokhara valley. You can view the paradise feeling with its lovely view of mountains and lakes. You can visit many places around the city of Pokhara i.e Fewa Lake (you can do boating and fishing if interested), Davies Fall’s, Ghupteshwor Mahadev, Muesuem, and many caves around the valley. If someone is interested they can have extra activities like bungy jumping, zip flyers, paragliding, and ultra light air craft’s you can have these experience also. You can find variety of foreign based pubs and restaurants nearby.

Day10: Pokhara – Kathmandu
You will be heading back to Kathmandu again after a hilarious and exciting hiking. Its about 200km to Kathmandu from Pokhara and takes about 5 hours in a tourist coach which you would be travelling. The tour concludes on this day.
